Our Services

Each session is personalised based on your pet’s needs and may include the following services

MANUAL THERAPY

Manual therapy is a specialised area of physiotherapy for the management of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. It is based on clinical reasoning and involves highly specific treatment approaches with the use of both manual techniques and therapeutic exercises.

THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE

Therapeutic exercises include land-based exercises which target the components of strength, endurance, flexibility and balance in your pet. These exercise involve the use of land treadmill, resistance bands and canine rehabilitation equipment. All therapeutic exercises are administered based on the theory of exercise prescription (specific repetitions/sets etc.).

PULSED ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD (PEMF) THERAPY

PEMF Therapy involves the use of a device which emits an electromagnetic field. This electromagnetic field is believed to influence bone repair at a cellular level, have an anti-inflammatory effect in joints affected by osteoarthritis and have a neuroprotective effect which will help with intervertebral disc disease.

KINESIO TAPING

Kinesio taping involves the use of an elastic medical tape. Various taping methods can be done to relief pain, improve lymphatic drainage and blood circulation, improve muscle function and support your pet's joints.

Our clinic uses canine specific tape from VetkinTape® to improve adherence to your pet's fur.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is a technique used by physiotherapists to treat myofascial pain that uses dry needle, without medication or injection, which is inserted into trigger points. It is proven to help modulate pain and improve muscle function.

OWNER EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT

Proper awareness and knowledge of your pet's condition will go a long way in managing it and reducing risk of re-aggravation in future. Home exercises will also be prescribed to ensure continuity of care when your pet goes home.

CANINE GAIT ANALYSIS

Gait analysis will be performed using a gait analysis device, which measures weight distribution, step, and stride length for each limb. The data will be reviewed by our physiotherapist, who will share the findings with you. This information, along with a physiotherapy assessment, will help identify lameness and track improvements over time.

LASER THERAPY

Laser therapy is the application of light energy over the area of injury which promotes healing, decrease inflammation, improves blood circulation, reduces pain and improves immune cell response. It has been shown to help with healing of post-surgical wounds, reducing inflammation and recovery of muscles.

Our clinic and physiotherapist is certified by the National Environment Agency (NEA) to use a Class 3B Laser from BTL Solutions.
