What To Expect During the First Physiotherapy Session?
Physiotherapy sessions are conducted 1-on-1 and your pet will be under the care of the same physiotherapist throughout his/her rehabilitation journey. Owners are highly encouraged to be part of the session to understand more about your pet's condition and to learn exercises that can be done with him/her at home.

Pre-assessment Essentials
We’ll reach out on WhatsApp to complete an Onboarding Form and guide you in taking pictures and videos for a more thorough assessment.
03
Assessment
Your pet will undergo a comprehensive physical assessment on the first session.

Assessment includes:
-
Assessment of static postures
-
Assessment of dynamic movements
-
Gait analysis with a gait analysis device and treadmill analysis if possible
-
Full body physical examination for areas of pain, joint mobility and limb muscle differences
Note: This is a general guideline. The assessment may vary depending on your pet's temperament. We understand that some pets may be more cautious with strangers or touch, and we'll adjust our approach accordingly.
04
Owner education
The physiotherapist will discuss your pet's condition and treatment plans, and a clinical summary (PDF) will be sent within a week.
05
Treatment
During the initial assessment, your pet will receive a shorter treatment tailored to their condition, allowing us to conduct a thorough evaluation and develop an effective care plan. Subsequent sessions will focus more extensively on treatment, comprising the bulk of each visit.
06
Evaluation
Your pet will be evaluated after each session to monitor their progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. This ongoing evaluation ensures we provide the most effective care tailored to their recovery.
