The NIMBLE™ Assessment is where we begin every new case. It’s designed to uncover what your dog can’t say — helping us move beyond surface-level checks and into meaningful clinical understanding.
What Is It?
Created by a physiotherapist trained in both human and canine rehabilitation, the NIMBLE™ Assessment offers a clear, structured way to understand your dog’s mobility, comfort, and function.
Unlike generic checks or trial-and-error treatment, NIMBLE™ is built around six key components which gives us a full-body view before we plan your dog’s care.
Neurological Assessment
We assess for signs of nerve-related issues, such as delays in coordination or limb control — subtle changes that may impact your dog’s movement in ways that aren’t always obvious.
Individual
Joint Health
Each joint is reviewed for mobility and comfort to identify stiffness, pain, or signs of overuse that could affect posture and movement.
Muscle
Profile
We look at how muscles are working across the body, including areas of weakness or imbalance that might suggest compensation or discomfort.
Biomechanical
Analysis
We observe your dog’s posture, weight shifting, and how they perform certain movements — giving us clues about where support is needed.
Locomotion Analysis
Using video and device analysis, we assess your dog’s walk and trot patterns to spot subtle changes in stride length, limb loading, or compensations — the kinds of details often missed in real time.
Evaluation
We bring it all together to explain our findings clearly and recommend next steps — whether that’s treatment, further investigation, or home support.
