PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICE
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a cornerstone of rehabilitation at Nimble Paws Physiotherapy. This hands-on approach involves skilled techniques to reduce pain, improve joint mobility, and promote healing.
As defined by the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists:
"Manual therapy is a specialised area of physiotherapy for the management of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, based on clinical reasoning, using highly specific treatment approaches including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises."

At Nimble Paws Physiotherapy, we tailor evidence-based techniques like gentle stretching, joint mobilisation, and massage to your pet’s unique needs. Whether recovering from surgery or managing arthritis, our goal is to restore comfort and quality of life—because Movement Matters.
MASSAGE & STRETCHES
Different massage and stretching techniques can be used to relieve muscle tension, improve muscle activation, or reduce swelling, depending on your dog’s condition. It is well-tolerated for most issues and can make a huge difference in just one session!

JOINT MOBILISATIONS
Maitland mobilisation techniques will be used to improve your pet’s joint mobility and restore joint range of motion. This is akin to a deep tissue massage for the joints! This technique is especially helpful when dealing with post-injury/surgery stiffness and osteoarthritis.

MANUAL FACILITATION
Manual facilitation helps guide pets into certain positions to increase their awareness and improve the use of their bodies while they perform functional tasks. This technique targets your pet's neuromuscular system and is highly effective in improving poor posture or gait patterns.
