Joey Ng

Founder & Lead Physiotherapist

BSc (Hons) Physio, CCRP, Intl Dip CO (ongoing)

CCRP Certified Physiotherapist

Joey is a licensed human physiotherapist and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) from the Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning, University of Tennessee. Her journey into animal rehabilitation began with her two dachshunds, whose well-being inspired her to bring human physiotherapy principles into pet care.

With nearly 10 years of experience treating orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, and sports-related conditions in both public and private hospitals in Singapore, she brings strong expertise in manual therapy, biomechanical analysis, and clinical reasoning to her work with animals. Over the past year, she has been actively helping dogs and cats at Nimble Paws Physiotherapy regain movement, confidence, and comfort through structured rehabilitation.

Joey is also completing her Canine Osteopathy certification to further refine her manual therapy skills and elevate the quality of care for her patients. She believes pets deserve the same standard of structured, evidence-based rehabilitation that humans receive — restoring strength, balance, and mobility so they can live happier, healthier lives.

Outside of work, Joey enjoys running, strength training, cooking, and relaxing with her two dachshunds — who remind her daily why movement matters.

Samantha Zhang

Small Animal Physiotherapist

BSc Physio, CCRP (ongoing)

Samantha is a licensed human physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia and seven years of experience specialising in neurological and amputee rehabilitation.

Since 2018, she has worked in an acute hospital in Singapore, helping individuals with spinal-cord and brain injuries, neurodegenerative disorders, and lower-limb amputations rebuild movement, confidence, and independence. She also ran the amputee rehabilitation clinic, guiding patients from pre-prosthetic preparation through prosthetic training and long-term adaptation. Her growing interest in movement and recovery sparked a passion for animal physiotherapy, where she discovered how principles from human rehabilitation can help animals heal, adapt, and thrive.

Samantha is currently completing her Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) qualification to extend her expertise into supporting pets through their own journeys of recovery and wellness. Drawing on her extensive background in neurological and amputee rehabilitation, Samantha brings a high level of clinical precision and movement-retraining expertise to her work with animals — helping them rebuild coordination, confidence, and control in every step.

Outside the clinic, Samantha enjoys aerial hoop, Padel, and spending time with her adopted Jindo, Mungoh 🐕✨
