Attended Nimble Paw’s Dachshund Strength Foundations Workshop last month and highly recommend it to fellow doxie pawrents looking to help strengthen their dogs’ bodies.

Joey was incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire experience. Before our session, she reached out to understand our dog’s specific needs. During the workshop, she and her team generously shared their knowledge and delivered exactly what the course title promised—practical exercises tailored for dachshunds.

The 1-to-1 hands-on segment with Clarice was especially helpful and built our confidence to safely carry out the exercises with our doxie.

Even after the workshop, they followed up and offered continued support, which we truly appreciated.

Our Dachshund Strength Foundations Workshop is a physiotherapist-led session designed to help owners safely build strength and stability in their dachshunds. This 2-hour hands-on workshop focuses on controlled, spine-friendly exercises that support the unique biomechanics of long-backed dogs.

During the session, we will introduce the key principles of safe strengthening for dachshunds, including how to develop trunk stability, limb strength, and body awareness without placing unnecessary stress on the spine. Owners will learn how to guide their dogs through slow, controlled exercises that improve coordination, posture, and movement control.

You will also learn how to recognise common compensations and movement patterns that may indicate weakness or reduced stability, helping you better understand your dog’s movement and progression over time.

All exercises are designed to be low-impact and progressive, allowing owners to confidently practice them at home as part of their dog’s regular movement routine.

Led by a certified physiotherapist, this workshop provides practical guidance to help owners support their dachshund’s strength, stability, and long-term movement health.

Suitable for dachshunds aged 15 months and above, with no current pain, lameness, or recent signs of IVDD.

To ensure personalised coaching, each workshop is limited to a maximum of 4 dogs per session. After the workshop, participants are welcome to join our Nimble Paws Strength Club, a small community where owners can share progress and stay motivated as they practise the exercises at home.

This workshop pairs well with our Dachshund Stretch & Massage Workshop, which focuses on mobility and muscle care, while Strength Foundations teaches safe strengthening exercises to support long-term spinal health.
